About Me
Welcome to this special page of my website where I tell a little bit about who I am, where I come from and most of all, how I came to want to become a Narrative Designer.
This page is important to me because, in my view, a cover letter is not enough to show who I am, so I decided to tell my story through this page so that you have all the necessary information to get an idea of who I am.
And then as a Narrative Designer, I have to write the story of various characters so why not start with the main character of my own life?
My name is Alan ROBLEDILLO and I was born on 06/19/97 near Nice in a modest but loving family. The world of video games quickly entered my life since it is for my 4th birthday that I received a GameBoy and Pokémon Red, my very first game. Learning to read thanks to this game with my grandmother, the lonely and shy child that I was, was taken by the passion for Pokémon and, later, by video games that allowed me to escape in even more fantastic worlds to get me out of my daily life.
Not having many friends during my childhood and most of my teenage years, I took refuge in video games such as Pokémon, Assassin's Creed, or even World of Warcraft where, by playing with real people, I learned to open up to others in the reality. At that time, I still only saw video games as a hobby, until in 2011 I got into the Mass Effect saga. With its rich and believable science-fiction universe, its more than endearing characters, and its choice of dialogues, I knew I wanted to create this kind of experience as soon as I finished Mass Effect 2.
Since middle school, I started to inquire about the jobs that would allow me to realize my dream at a time when information on the profession of game designer was not numerous. This is how, after a mistake in my orientation, I decided to study programming at Epitech. Knowing the price of this private school as well as my family's low finances, I started working at my father's restaurant when I was 16-17 years old to ensure my financial independence. Taking a loan and entering Epitech, I quickly realized that it was not what I dreamed of and reoriented myself towards Game Sup to become a Game Designer.
After a preparatory class and a bachelor's degree rich in experience and courses, each one more interesting than the other, with speakers attentive to students, I'm now looking for a job in Narrative Design in the Lyon area or remote, while working as Freelance Writer and General Kitchen Assistant.
This is who I am and what brought me to where I am today. I hope this has helped you to better understand who I am, and wish you a pleasant visit to the rest of my website.
