Context

Exode is the very first game project I made in 2015 to enter GameSup. Feeling very attached to this project, I couldn't stop myself from continuing it and reworking it as my knowledge of Game and Narrative Design improved.

The current version is the 5th iteration of the initial project and, due to my poor programming skills, will remain a documented project without a playable prototype.

What I've done:

As a Narrative Designer

Narrative Design

First, I worked on the background of the universe I was going to approach, with the will to make it coherent, to make it a possible future of our present world. So I elaborated a slideshow describing the different strata of this Universe:

After that, I worked on the sheets of each of my main characters, describing their habits, their life but also the intentions that I wanted to convey to the player via each of my characters through their evolution:

Having set up the summary of the chapters, the universe and the characters of my game, I then started to rewrite the walkthrough, detailing as much as possible the story of Exode and the actions of Thiralian:

What I've done:

Game Design

This project being based on a Game Design Document made in 2015 when I was in Game Design Prep, this document followed some instructions which was: to make a document between 15 and 30 pages including the information sheet, the complete scenario and the mechanics of the game which will be playable only with a gamepad. Here is the document, put in English and with updated schemas:

From this document, I then made a Game Design Overview slideshow, explaining in a more illustrated way the gameplay of Exode:
